I'm Chinese-American, born and raised in San Francisco, CA. After attending Lowell High School in SF, I went on to UC Berkeley where I majored in Asian American Studies. After working at Oracle Corporation for over 3 years, I left in April of 1997 to start my career at Macromedia. I worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer on the Dreamweaver team for a little over two years. I now work at TiVo as a Technical Producer. I love my job!
Yes, I'm a self-proclaimed GeekGrrl. I spend a lot of my time in front of a computer but unlike most geeks I still find time to have a life.
I have a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do but haven't been practicing recently. Tae Kwon Do is a modern Korean Martial Art, characterized by its fast, high and spinning kicks. I'm currently working towards getting my red belt. Then on to a black belt, but that won't be for a while.
A few of my other hobbies include softball, fishing and basketball. I'm not much of a basketball player but I try. During the spring and summer I play co-ed softball. Firstbase, that's me.
I'm also addicted to computer games. Past addictions have been Starcraft, Diablo II, Quake Team Arena and now I'm currently hooked on... Warcraft III!
Note: I sold my motorcycle a couple of years ago. But I may buy another one. Some day....
A person must have passion in their life. Be it their job, a sport/hobby or a person. Whatever it is, you need to strive for it, work at it, lust after it. You need to have something that drives you, gives you a reason to wake up in the morning, a reason to keep going.
What is life without passion?
