Memoirs of a BaddGrrl

Current mood:  The current mood of baddgrrl@baddgrrl.com at www.imood.com

7-15-2000 Saturday

I forgot to mention that I met Chris from iistix at Glas Kat on Thursday.   Cool guy.  Too bad we didn't get a chance to talk much but I was just on my way out when I ran into him.  I also missed the chance to meet Ki.  Hopefully I'll run into them again at another dotcom party, there are soooo many going on these days.

Check out the iistix site!

I bought a bunch of CDs online from MixedMusic.com.  I haven't had a chance to listen to them all.   I bought 10 and they sent me 2 for free!  I think my fave so far is 'Transition' Mixed by Homebase.

Here's a screen capture from Friday of me listening to my CDs.

Most of these CDs are mixes by DJs from Wild 94.9, a local Bay Area radio station.  MixedMusic.com even sent me a bunch of promotional items.

Here's a list of all the CDs I got.   I think I bought WAY too many freestyle CDs, I should have gotten more recent stuff.  But I may buy a few more from them...

Still The King - Greg Lopez
Vicious V - Play it Loud
Jose Melendez - Wild Workout at Noon Vol. 2
Jose Melendez - Wild Workout at Noon Vol. 1
HomeBase - Transition
Freestyle QuickMixx Vol. 1
Freestyle QuickMixx Vol. 2
Jose Melendez - Freestyle Classics
Mixtress - Freestyle Classics Vol. 2
Mixtress - Freestyle Classics Vol.3

7-14-2000 Early Friday AM

Just got

home from a nite at Glas Kat.  Pretty cool party actually.   Initially I went there for work because I'm setting up 3 cameras there.  One will be over the dance floor, another over the sushi bar and one in the front bar area.  I was able to set up the cameras but our computers aren't in yet so I'll probably set them up next week if the machines get in.  Then you'll be able to see live streaming action from one of the hottest clubs in San Francisco.

Tonight was the OpsExchange launch party.  A BIG turnout.  Man I saw a ton of people that I knew there.  People that I haven't seen in ages.  Some people whose names I didn't really remember but recognized, some who I didn't know but they recognized me...  Wow, just a whole lot of people.   The best part was after I finished configuring the cameras, Steven Lee the General Manager of Glas Kat fed me some sushi.  Mmmmm, yummy.

Here are a couple of screen shots...

The crimping tool I bought today.  If you don't know what a crimping tool, most likely you don't need to know.  It's only for geeks.

And here's a picture of my Volkswagen slipper.

That's it.  Check my mood indicator for the latest updates on my mood. :)

Does anyone recognize Craig from his modeling in Macys and Mervyns ads?

First the gratuitous screen shots...

As you can see, I wore my overalls today...

I was reading Gabbi's journal today and I saw her current mood via imood.com.  It's pretty cool actually, something I've wanted to do for a while now.  Sometimes I don't want to write a whole journal entry or even if I already have, I want to reflect just my mood at that moment but not have to deal with the webpage and HTML.

The current mood of baddgrrl@baddgrrl.com at www.imood.com

This is perfect.  I just put the HTML into my site once, then whenever I want to update my mood I go to the click on this preset link in my browser which opens up this small imood updater window and I can easily update my mood so anyone who goes to my site can see it.  If they click on the mood indicator they get more information on the details that I wrote on what I'm feeling and why.

So I'll add the mood indicator to the top of my journal page and to my main site. Guess I'll put it on my cam page so people who go to that can see it too.  Don't forget to click on the mood indicator for more details about my mood.

I think it's really nifty.  You can invite your friends to sign up and check on their moods too.  I imagine on the very geeky and those who really want to share their feelings will participate.

Here's a pic that LisaQ sent me last night!  A recent pic of Oscar!

7-11-2000 Tuesday

Let's see, first of all we'll start with some screen shots shall we?  This is me in my contortionist position...

Have you seen my new disco ball?!

This past Saturday Kirk, King, Jansen, Sam and I took this IPSC shooting class.   Actually Kirk and I took the course about a month ago and last Saturday we did the actual "match" where you run around this course and shoot at targets.   It was pretty awesome.  First you learn to draw your gun from your holster, shoot reload, shoot with one hand and stuff like that.  Then the next session you actually go on the course and run through an outdoor stage with targets where you shoot, run to the next target and shoot again.   I was shooting with my Glock 19 9mm but I want to try Kirk's HK40 and see how I like it.

Below is a picture of some random guy shooting at the range where we had the match on Satruday.  The stages are more elaborate but I couldn't find a good picture of a stage.

Saturday night we went to see Chicken Run.  Pretty funny.  I liked it better than The Perfect Storm (sucked) but of course it couldn't compare to The Patriot.   I looooove Mel Gibson.

Sunday we played softball and basketball.   Great turnout.   Even LisaQ came out with baby Oscar.  I need to take some pictures of him, he's sooo cute.  I need to get some pictures of Mike and Janice's baby, Justin.   He's also totally adorable.  All these babies!

Here's a picture of Oscar soon after he was born.   He's 2.5 months old now.
