Memoirs of a BaddGrrl

5-31-2000 Wednesday

Yikes, I can't believe it's been over a week with no updates.  I had so much to say but it was just so chaotic last week.   I went thru so many emotions I can't even begin go write about them.   Work was well...  it was tough, that's all I'm going to say.   The move and the network problems took a toll on me, but I've managed to get my cams and most of the DotCamLife cams up and running again.

This was the last image when I took my cam down and it was stuck up there for days...

And here's the new angle of my OfficeCam...

I've got some really cool angles of the new office too...

Check out DotCamLife to see all the cameras around our SpotLife office.

And here's a picture of this foam "torch" from Logitech.   It's supposed to symbolize the freedom that cordless keyboards and mice give their users...

But cordless freedom is really the last thing you're thinking of when you look at it from another angle...

Now what I want to know is who in the world approved the final design of this?   They were actually giving these away at E3!

So I had a really busy but really fun weekend.  Friday nite I went to see the new Jackie Chan movie, Shanghai Noon with Jansen, King, Kirk, Teddy and Steve.   Yup, that's me with five guys baby.  I'm a studette!

Then on Saturday I went to Traders in Oakland with Jansen and Kirk.  I wasn't really planning on buying anything but I found a pretty cool holster for my Glock 19 9mm so I bought it.  Kirk and Jansen ended up ordering the same holster for their Glocks since they didn't have their models in stock at Traders.   Kirk also bought a new Sig.   I believe it's a .45 and it's VERY sexy.   I'm thinking of getting an HK USP .40 compact but I want to try it out first.

Saturday nite we all went out to dinner at One Market.  The food was ok, not great. Then we went to Elroys for drinks and found out they close at 12:30am.   Lame!   So we headed off to AsiaSF for a little dancin.

Sunday we played basketball and then at night we were debating whether or not to go to Polly Esthers to go dancing but ended up taking a little tour of SF trying to find a place to hang out and just have drinks.  Everything closed early so we ended up calling it a nite fairly early.

Monday was great, we had a BBQ and everyone bought tons of food.   We had burgers, steaks, ribs, salads, etc.   Then after that huge feast we headed off to the park for some softball and hoops.   The weather was awesome.

So that was my weekend in a nutshell.   Spent the whole weekend with "the new gang".   I need to take more pictures so everyone can check them out :)

This week has been really busy so far too.  Yesterday was a full on HTML day, updating all the journals for SF.SpotLife.  Today was a techie day.  I'm setting up two streaming cams for DotCamLife with audio and video so I had to install sound cards and CD ROM drives in them.  So if you saw hardware and tools flying around in front of the OfficeCam, that's what I was doing.

The MessageCam should be back online tomorrow.  I need get a 50ft RJ12 cable to run the LED sign.   Our original cable got lost in the move :(

Ok, enough geektalk.   I'm off to bed.   Catch ya later!
