So it's still freezing in this office.   Today I had the gloves and wool coat on most of the day.   Occasionally I would even have to put my hood on over my head because the cold air conditioning is blasting on my head.   Everybody complains about how cold it is but hey, the people who hoard the power in the office don't feel cold so we all suffer.

Remember my wireless Aviator network?  Well the Aviator stuff itself works great but the WinProxy software it came with sucks to high heaven.  I even called their tech support and they weren't very helpful so I don't use it anymore.  Besides, I probably wouldn't be able to do streaming using that proxy software.

So I decided to get a Linksys Ethernet 4 Port Cable Router.   It allows me to have 4 computers sharing one Internet connection.  It uses DHCP and according to Curt it's pretty easy to configure.   I ordered it thru Outpost.com yesterday afternoon and when I came into work today it was waiting for me.   Cool!   It was only $169.99, no tax, free shipping.  That's OVERNIGHT shipping too.   

I'll let you know how it works for me.

Congrats to LisaQ and Mike on the birth of their new baby, Oscar Edward Wong!!   I was lame and forgot to bring my camera and camcorder when I went to visit the other day.   I'll do that next time and take lots of pics and videos and post them up on SpotLife.

I meant to upload the journal entry for yesterday but my ISP was having "technical difficulties" so I had to wait til I could FTP up to the server.  So I ended up working at home today and had the Streaming HomeCam up off and on.  I was playing some dance tunes so if you tuned in, you could probably hear DJ BaddGrrl in da mix.

My new fave song is Back In My Life  by Alice DeeJay.

Ironically, he IS back in my life.  The thing is, do I still want him?  And what exactly does he want from me?

4-25-2000 Tuesday

So I had a fairly busy weekend.   Friday nite I went out drinkin with Curt, Teddy, Craig, Wayne and a bunch of other people.   Afterwards we went and grabbed some Chinese food which wasn't a good idea cuz that chow fun sat in my stomach til the next morning.   I'm gaining weight again, yikes.   

Kirk emailed me to say that when referring to Teddy and the rest of the guys, it's not "Teddy and the gang", it's "Teddy and his bitches".   Hmmm, well I think I'll just refer to all of them by name from now on, how's that?

So Saturday night we all went out dancin.  Me, Steve, Kirk, Teddy, King, Jansen and a lot of other people that I don't really know.  We started off going to 330 Ritch but decided to go to Polly Esthers instead.  I didn't think I'd get into it since I'm really not into the club scene anymore but I ended up having a lot of fun.   How could you lose when you've got 5 studly guys to dance with?   Woohoo!

I guess I'm the studly one if I get to hang out with 5 guys eh?

So if you've been watching the cam today you may have noticed the gloves.

It is so gosh darn cold here in the office that I have to wear gloves to keep my hands warm.   I'm actually quite frustrated because it's a battle here every day over the temperature in the office.   Half the people complain that it's too warm so they turn the thermostat so the AC cranks up.  But the other half complains that it's too cold (I swear it must be around 50 degrees or less) and we turn the AC off.   It's a nightmare.  Really.  

I had to run out to my car and get my wool coat.   The ironic thing is it's sooo nice and warm outside but it's freezing in here.  Grrrr.  Or should I say Brrrr...
