4-18-2000 Tuesday I didn't know that I had to buy the VMU for the Sega Dreamcast to save my games to unlock the other characters for Soul Calibur. Silly me. So today I went out and got the Visual Memory Unit. It's cute, a little mini gameboy-like thing in itself.
4-17-2000 Monday The 3 hour cruise on the Bay was a lot of fun. Too short though, I think we could have partied all night. There was dancin and boozin, what can I say, a good time was had by all. I saw some stats on SF.SpotLife and I see that traffic has really picked up there. I'm hoping that all the people who visit my site are stopping by and visiting the SF.SpotLife site. They are far more interesting than I am. And probably have more active love lives. Although, I think right now there's stuff brewing that I don't want to recognize. I'm in denial. Nothing to see here folks, move along...____________________________________ A huge word of thanks to Bryan who helped me do my taxes. I'm actually getting a decent amount of change back so I may just buy that motorcycle. I was also thinking of buying/building a PC so I'd have a server at home, a Linux/NT machine just to play with. But I realize now that I don't have the time. I'd probably build it and let it sit there, not doing anything with it. At best I'd turn it into a Quake server. Then again, that's not such a bad idea. I should probably post a more recent picture of myself, haven't taken one in ages. I guess since I'm on the cam so much I don't really think about taking pics of myself. Someone sent me this a couple weeks ago. Guess he caught me standing on my desk doing something. Yes these are my new slippers, I actually do wear them around the office.
And this was probably me diving under my desk to put them on. Well, that's enough entertainment for one evening. Goodnight folks. 4-16-2000 Sunday Raining... ick. I hate the rain. I don't care if people think it's beautiful, romantic, refreshing, whatever, I hate the rain. It's cold and rain is never nice in San Francisco, it's just wet. So I had a busy weekend. Friday nite, Teddy and the gang called and we ended up going to Sea Bowl in Pacifica. I am not a bowler so I just sat and watched and was properly entertained. Nothing like seeing grown people in neon bowling shoes with disco balls spinning all around. At least I can say I've experienced Astro Bowl.
Click here for a quick look at the FUN and ACTION of Astro Bowling. Then on Saturday nite, I went out with Judy, Bryan, Ev, Raf and the rest of our gang. We went to The Cheesecake Factory at the top of Macy's San Francisco. They don't take reservations and the wait is usually about 2 hours so Judy and Bryan got there early to put our names down and then we went shopping for a little bit. We got seated about 7ish and the service was really slow but the food was great. They give huge servings too so it was worth the wait. Sunday Teddy and the gang wanted to do dim sum and hoops, what a combination! I passed on lunch but was going to join them for hoops but with the rain and all, everyone bailed so the call was Sega Dreamcast instead. I passed on that and decided to stay home and break out my own game of Soul Calibur so I could get in some practice. Tomorrow our company is going on a little 3 hour cruise on the bay. Hmmm, 3 hour cruise, stormy weather... sounds a bit ominous don't you think? If we get stranded on a desert isle, I get to be MaryAnn not ginger, got it? ___________________________________ So am I still confused? Not right now. Yes, one of my ex's called tonight and he still wants to take me to Napa for a weekend. He says I deserve a vacation/getaway. What can I say, he's right. He said he lost about $300,000 in the stock market last week but he's not upset about it. Whew, I know I'd be pretty bummed. Am I getting back together with him? No way. Not a chance. I'm not attracted to him at all. And as far as the "HIM" I always talk about, well I don't feel confused, just wary. All my friends warn me against him. I'll keep you updated. PS Unless I ask for it, I really don't need advice from random strangers.
