Memoirs of a BaddGrrl

4-13-2000 Thursday

Another journal entry, woohoo!

So at work, John brought his Sega Dreamcast in yesterday and it was a big hit.   Then after work tonight we played again, this time they hooked it up to a projector and big ass speakers.   Awesome!  I got hooked and had to make a Fry's run.   Soul Calibur baby!  All my coworkers say that Taki looks like me so whenever they play as the Taki character,

they say "I wanna be Lorraine" or "I'm gonna be Lorraine".  Hee hee.

So I am now the proud owner of a Sega Dreamcast and Soul Calibur.   Although I'm supposed to be Taki due to the resemblance, Seung Mina is my favorite character to play.

I haven't had time to play Quake lately but I think I'm gonna have to find some quality Sega time.   :)

I can't believe tomorrow is Friday.   This week went by so quickly.   I'm gonna see the gang this weekend.   Judy is back in the Bay Area for good and Bryan will be moving back soon too.  Yay!!  It just wasn't the same without them here.

Ok, I'm tired.  Going to bed.  Talk to you guys later.

4-12-2000 Wednesday

Wow, two journal entries in a row, holy cow!

So I'm going to E3 next month.  If you don't know what E3 is, you don't need to know.  If you do know what it is, I'll be there representing SpotLife.   I'm going to be setting up the live webcasts for Logitech and Midway.   If I haven't mentioned it before, our company is a spinoff from Logitech so we have close ties with them.   I'm hoping someone can hook me up with the cool E3 parties.   I hear the Sony party is the place to be.

I've started my own live webcasts from home.   I've been trying to broadcast in the mornings from 7-9am and nights from 10-12midnight.   But it's been kind of sporadic.  Webcasts are cool though because there's streaming live video with audio.  Nifty!

I'll be doing webcasting from work too but the audio will be a CD playing rather than our live audio since we can't allow people to hear all the chatter in our office.

So I'm a little confused about my feelings.   I need to figure out what I want and how I really feel.   Am I being vague enough?

4-11-2000 Tuesday

Well it was quite a week last week.   I went to Internet World in LA and it was a lot of work.   I didn't have a moment of free time while I was there. It was great though, everyone that heard about SpotLIfe was really jazzed about our technology.

But it's good to be back and getting back in the swing of things.   This past weekend I played hoops with Teddy, Steve, King and Craig again.   I don't think I'm getting better but it's still fun.  The weekend before I went shooting with those guys but unfortunately I didn't shoot well at all.   I bought a Glock 9mm and the first few times I shot with it, I did really well but last week, yuck.

So anyway, I've been hearing from men from my past recently.  They've been calling or emailing me.    One wants to take me to Napa for a weekend getaway.  Hmmm, well I really could use a little R & R after all the long work days I've been putting in.   And of course the famous "HIM" that I've mentioned many times in my journal.   He's been calling and emailing a LOT recently.    I finally feel like we're friends now but I wonder if there's still some undercurrent of attraction there.   Is it me?   Is it him?  Is it both of us?  Hmmm...

So my boss told me he was going to feature my webcam in the Chemistry Channel on SpotLife.   I asked him why since I was featured in the Circuit Channel already.  He said, "Because you need a boyfriend!"  Yikes.  I disagree.   I'm fine on my own.   How come everyone seems to try to convince me otherwise?

So I got new sunglasses and decided I'd play around with taking some pictures.   I'm using the Logitech HomeCam which is a digital camera that connects to your PC's USB port.  It can be used as a Webcam or as a handheld camera (but still needs to be connected to your PC).
