2-20-2000 Sunday I went to our Chew Association banquet tonight. I couldn't figure out if it was our New Year banquet or Spring banquet but it was pretty huge. Around 600 people at the Empress of China in San Francisco's Chinatown. That's a lot of Chews. I ended up sitting next to a couple who are good friends with my father. I hadn't seen them in a long time. Actually I think this couple had tried to set me up with one of their sons many years ago. I think the hookup was intended for the older son but I ended up hitting it off with the younger one. We went out a few times and he was a really nice guy, good-looking too but I knew after a few dates that it wasn't going to work out. His mom really liked me though and tonight we spent a lot of time talking. She invited me to their house next month for a party they are having. Funny, I don't even know them that well. I know they aren't trying to set me up with their sons again cuz they are both married. The mom is so sweet though, almost made me wish I had had more of a love connection with the son. Oh well. ________________________________________ I met a director for MTV yesterday. I'm not sure if he's a director for the RealWorld or for Road Rules. His card says Road Rules but they were taping something for the RealWorld. No, I'm not going to be on the RealWorld or anything MTV related. I've had my 15 minutes of fame. I'm over it. Now I just want the money... what good is fame without money? ________________________________________ Jim sent me a pic today, he's been surfing a lot and lookin a little sunkissed.
I was hoping to go out to Hawaii last weekend but I was so busy with work that I decided to postpone the trip. Sigh.
