12-30-99 Thursday Ok, it's almost here... the countdown to the final days, hours, minutes in this century. Is everyone ready for the new year?! Personally, I'm all little nervous. I'm not afraid of computer systems and stuff like that going down. I worried about all the nutzos out there. All these terrorists, would-be looters and just plain psychos running around. Who knows what could happen. Yikes. Well if we all survive Y2K, then I guess I'll make it to my next birthday. Next Friday, January 7th... eek. It's all happening so quickly. What to do? I don't know, I have no plans for my birthday. Let's just make it to the new year first...
12-29-99 Wednesday Ooo, I got some beautiful flowers today. They were supposed to arrive last week via 1-800-Flowers but they didn't come until today. They're tulips, all the way from Holland. Thank you to the very sweet person who sent them. PS, I could use another massage too. Hint hint. :)
12-28-99 Tuesday I couldn't FTP my files up to my server from home so I couldn't update my journal this weekend. Bummer. Not sure what's going on there. My DSL wasn't working all weekend but PacBell came out and fixed it yesterday. Grrr. Well at least it's fixed now. Speaking of things that need to be fixed, I think something is broken at Geocities. My cam images are getting worse with more garbage in the images. My friend Jeff says he believes it's a problem with Geocities because he sees the same problem with his images and if he FTPs up to his own server, he doesn't see that problem. Here's an example, you can see how the image has all these little dots at the bottom. It was never like that before but just started up recently.
Anyway, Jeff said he sent a complaint to Geocities telling them about it. I may drop them a line myself. Here's a picture my friend Curt took of me at work. Wave wave... Hi Curt!
A viewer made this image of me using Macromedia's Fireworks. Interesting...
It was strange typing the year 2000 for the first time here in my Journal. Wow, I can't believe it's here. Y2k. I don't think it's really set in yet. The year 2000 is really here.
