12-15-99 Wednesday Jim got a new camera and sent me his first picture. I made sure I got his permission before I posted it...
We're going out for sushi tonight. Yum!
12-14-99 Tuesday I
took a few screen captures last week but was too lazy to post them.
Wow, this one is really dark. And I've noticed some funkiness going on with the camera. I switched to a new camera last week, it's the latest Logitech Quickcam Pro. Here's one from today...
And here are some interesting ones that my viewers captured and sent me....
These two were sent to me from Eddy in Belgium.
Am I looking a little agro here?
And
this one is from Fred Young.
And one last one from Stephen S.
Another funky face I'm making. _______________________________________ Woohoo!! I am soooo excited! Man I haven't been this excited in a while. I finally got my DSL installed this Saturday and I decided I wanted to set up a wireless network in my house. I thought it might cost me a lot, like between $1,000-2,000, but I did a little research on the Web and found a really affordable solution. It's called Aviator 2.4 by WebGear and it was only $199. I had to make a Fry's run anyway to buy a new power supply for my old PC that died so I ran down there on Saturday afternoon, bought the power supply and the Aviator stuff and set it all up. It's sooooooo cool! The kit I bought allows you to connect 2 desktop PCs or 2 laptops or a combination of the two. Basically it allows you to connect any two Windows computers and do file/printer sharing AND share a network connection. I can now share files between my computers and all of them connect to my DSL line via my main PC which works as a gateway to the DSL. After I set up my main PC and my laptop on my little wireless network, I cruised the Web some more and found the Aviator 2.4 at Outpost.com for $149.99 (after the $20 rebate). So I ordered another kit and they didn't charge me for tax or shipping and they're shipping it overnight. I should receive it today. Soooooo... I'm going to set up 2 desktop PCs and 2 laptops in my house, all wireless, no cables running through my house!! And all for less than $100 per computer. Hee hee! I love it! ____________________________________ Ok, enough geek talk. Jim is arriving tomorrow from Hawaii. Yay!! We're not going snowboarding anymore so we'll just hang out in the city. I warned him that it's really cold here. Brrrrrrrrrr. No Hawaiian shirts for you. Bring those thermals...
