10-22-99 Friday Forgot to mention I'm going out to dinner with the Bay Area webbies tonight. I believe the following people will be in the house: The
Yams
The Yams, Brian, Grace and Matthew have come up from LA and Lance, Jim and Christie have come from Hawaii. It's gonna be fun, can't wait to see everyone. I guess I'll be reading about it in everyone's journal afterwards :)
__________________________________________ Has everyone seen the new funkadelic MessageCam? I've got a lava lamp and a disco ball going on around the sign. And due to popular demand, the FAN is back. Man, I cannot believe how much everyone missed the fan. I think someone even named it Thor.

Here's a picture of the furniture set I bought online the other day...
I also bought a new sofa and loveseat that looks similiar to this but in a light brown/coffee color...
Now all I need is a coffee table.
__________________________________________ My co-worker Philippe told me about this 20/20 segment on Wednesday about cellular phones and how they might damage the brain.
Electromagnetic
Waves Sent Into Brain What many of the country’s 80 million cell phone users may not know is that cell phones send electromagnetic waves into users’ brains. In fact, every cell phone model sold in the United States has a specific measurement of how much microwave energy from the phone can penetrate the brain. Depending on how close the cell phone antenna is to the head, as much as 60 percent of the microwave radiation is absorbed by and actually penetrates the area around the head, some reaching an inch to an inch-and-a-half into the brain.
Pretty scary stuff considering how much we all use cellphones now. Luckily I have a headset which I attach to my cellphone so I don't have to hold it next to my head and risk brain damage. I don't have any brain cells left to spare. Killed off too many in college.

10-20-99 Wednesday Yikes, it's Wednesday already. Where did the time go? I had a great weekend, ran lots of errands. I've been furniture shopping! Did some of it online too. Man I love the Web. I originally bought a new bedroom set, then found it on the Web for cheaper plus in a color I liked even better. Hmmm, oh I changed the camera on my MessageCam so that now it is a little clearer and easier to read the text. It's amazing the number of idiots out there. I may put up a FAQ page for people to read before they can access the MessageCam. At least I have the power to ban these idiots from the Cam page. Gotta love the Power! Here are a couple of screen captures. One is from Stephen Sink, taken last week.
And here's one from today...
Wow, my hair looks orange! __________________________________________ There was an ad in the SF Examiner/Chronicle this weekend advertising to live free in a house in Russian Hill in San Francisco. Check it out... "We are looking for people that are outgoing, dynamic, animated and diverse. We need people who have interesting home lives and at home hobbies. We are looking for diversity among the participants of this project. The individuals who apply need not be actors or models, just people who are willing to let their lives be played out in public. They must be comfortable being in front of a camera at all times, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." Sounds pretty interesting, maybe I'll go live there. I'm on the camera so much already. Hee hee.
__________________________________________ What's everyone gonna be for Halloween? I'm not sure if I want to dress up or not but my boss sounded like he was pushing for everyone to come in costume next Friday, Oct 29th. Maybe I will. Who knows. I've noticed that my Journal entries are pretty boring. Just very factual these days. Have I lost my sense of humor? Gads, I hope not. I was telling Fredlet weeks ago that now I come in to work relatively early and sometimes I even dress up. Eeek. And now I'm not funny anymore. What has this job done to me?!?! I came in at 8:45am today. Man, that's virtually unheard of in Development. But I guess now that I'm in "marketing" it's not such a shocker. Ok, gotta run. More to come soon...
