10-14-99 Thursday

Wow, what a day.   First, unfortunately I had to change my main cam back to FTP mode.   No more streaming, at least for a while.  But on the other hand, the MessageCam has seemed to turn into a chat room.  Unfortunately there are a lot of retards in there.  Now I'm back to getting stupid messages from people.   Sigh.  Oh well.  I like having it up because I think it's fun and interesting but I think eventually I will have to end up ignoring it because of all the dumbass messages people post.  If I actually pay attention, they'll end up annoying me and I'll take it down.

I also put the TrafficCam back up.  Have you checked it out?

On the media tip...   I did a phone interview with Bob Hansen from a CBS affiliate, KFMB in San Diego.   We spoke over the phone and he had a photographer videotape my cam on the computer. I think the news segment should come out next weeks sometime.

I've been getting more screen captures from viewers which is nice.   Some shots are pretty funny, but I do look pretty goofy.   People seem to enjoy capturing pictures of me eating.  

I mean really, what was THIS one all about?   What kind of face is that?!?

I got a haircut last night.  It still looks pretty much that same, which is a good thing really.

I'm using the camera that I was using as my Traffic Cam so for now, the TrafficCam will not be showing traffic.  I'll get that back up and running as soon as I get another computer.

I had to run an errand out at UC Berkeley today and boy was it weird being back on campus when all the students are around.   Really bought back a lot of memories.   After I finished what I had to do, I bought a falafel and sat in front of the ASUC and did some people watching.  Reminded me of the old days when Judy and I would get a bowl of chicken udon and hang out there.    Later on I wandered over to Dwinelle to see if it was still the Asian hangout but the crowd looked fairly diverse.

One really cool thing I just found for all you CAL Bears, you can see LIVE views of Sproul Plaza and Dwinelle online!
