4-17-99 Saturday Man oh man, what a glorious day! I had a softball double-header this morning. Our games are all in San Jose and it was absolutely beautiful down there. It was like being back in Hawaii. Well, at least as far as the sunny weather. No palm trees or sipping Mai Tais by the poolside though. Unfortunately we lost both games. The second game was pretty close which made it more exciting. Then of course we had the special guest appearance of John (Sumo) from Sacramento providing us with comic relief. He hadn't played softball in 3 years so we had to refresh his memory a little on the rules. We put him at catcher to start with and he would talk it up with every batter that came up from the opposing team, trying to distract them and throw them off. One time, this girl came up to bat and he asked her where she was from and she said Oakland. He said, "Wow, you must be a ringer then. You came all the way out from Oakland. You're a ringer!" Then she swung at the ball and *whoosh*, strike! The next ball she swung at again and *whoosh*, strike again! She totally struck out, all thanks to John. I heard she went back to the dugout and mumbled, "That guy keeps talking to me." Way to go John! Way to psych out the competition! After our games, we went to the Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco's Japan Town. Patty helped out at the Teriyaki Burger stand for a little while, while John, Ryan and I walked around. A big "Fancy Meeting You Here" encounter...
_________________________________________ Oh man! I missed Ian's birthday!! Dude, Happy Belated Birthday! I'd go browsing for pics of blonde, busty Asian babes for ya but looks like you got that covered. Anyway, virtual hugs, kisses and other wet sloppy tokens of affection. You da man!!
And well wishes to Aaron Hamachi of A Better Place. He hurt his back and is out of commission for a little bit. Hope you get well soon mah friend. Take care!! 4-16-99 Friday Hey I'm back!! I went on a 5 day vacation to the Big Island of Hawaii! We stayed at the Four Season's Resort. Omigosh, it was the most amazing place ever. It totally lives up to it's billing as a resort. If you ever go to the Big Island of Hawaii, Kona, I would HIGHLY recommend you check out the Four Season's Resort. And NO I am plugging the hotel because I get money from them or anything. Everyone seems to think every time I mention something or someone I'm doing it to get something out of it. I mention people and companies because I think they are great, they've done something nice for me without asking for anything in return or I really like their product. Here are a few pics from my vacation and more will follow as I get them developed from my non-digital cam.
This
is the main swimming pool in the resort.
These
are fish that were in the marine reserve located inside the resort.
This
is me on the balcony of our room. Do I look like a poser or what?
Haha.
