It's really bad.  I'm addicted to coffee now.   I've never been a coffee drinker but one week in that MCSE class and I became addicted.  I needed it to survive.  Not that the class was bad or anything.  Quite the contrary.  I loved it.  I learned a lot and the teacher was excellent.  The class was MCSE 2152 Implementing Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Server.  

I have my Win 2000 network set up at home with my Linksys Router. Yay.

Nothing interesting to say so I'll share of the emails I traded with Young while I was in class a few weeks ago...

I wrote:

"Yesterday when I first came into class, I saw one woman in there and I thought, "Cool, I'm not the only female in the class." Then later the instructor asked her something and this deep rumbling voice came out. And I thought, "Oh... a transie. So I'm guess I am the only girl in the class" but later on a few women showed up late.

The transie sits in front of me. Today I was staring at her hands. Her name is Monica."

Young wrote:

"Is the transie convincing? or does she have a ZZTop beard and manly hands? I've met one transie once. Not very believable. Had a square jaw and very manly features."

I responded:

"The transie is convincing til she starts to speak. Also much better in the morning. Yesterday at around 3pm I started to notice her 5o'clock shadow. Guess she's not on Daylight Savings time."

A couple days later I wrote to Young:

"Yesterday after I got my Caramel Macchiato, went to back to class and struck up a conversation with the transie. Got so caught up in the adam's apple spotting I inadvertently grabbed a cup of coffee off my table and drank it. Immediately realized it belonged to the guy sitting next to me. Luckily he wasn't there at the time. But still, I felt like a doofus. Later after listening to him sniffle for a bit, I offered him some Claritin. He said he didn't have allergies, he had a cold.

Guess what I have today? Sniffles. I caught his cold from drinking his nasty cold coffee. Ack. I suck. Now I really feel like a doofus."

*sniffle*

Young wrote back:

"Take care of ur cooties and stop talking to transies.
Do u think she still had her "unit"?"

I replied:

"well since "she" (and I use the term loosely), said she is taking out a 10K loan to complete the classes and that she in unemployed, I'm assuming she is pre-op. Unit removal is not cheap from what I've heard.

another story from class...
the last day, we received our certicates for completion of the class. they just passed them around and we just took our own. I had two people certificates, Monica (the transie) and Sylvia. There was a total of 5 women in the class. Me, Monica, Alex and two women whose names I didn't know. Alex and one of the other women came to class together. They both looked very manly, I assumed they were lesbians. I handed Monica her certificate
and I approached the manly chick and was about to ask her if she was sylvia and I saw her nametag on her desk and it said "Steve". Whoa! That was a close one. I quickly backed away before saying anything and approached the last woman in the class and figured she must be Sylvia. She was indeed Sylvia. She was definitely a female. I was totally disoriented after the near miss with Steve though. I had heard her speak in class and although she looked butch, I really thought she was a woman. I bet she is also pre-op.

Then I got to thinking, maybe the butch Alex is not short for Alexandria as I had first assumed.

So in the class the 5 "females" were:
Sylvia (normal woman)
Me (normal?!)
Monica (transie)
Steve (transie2)
Alex (transie??)

Now I wonder if the MCSE is a trend among transies and if so, do I need to get an "add-on" to fit in??"
