So it's been about a week since I decided I want a boyfriend and I'm still single.   What's the deal?!  I was talking to Lance about it and he said: "maybe you have to go out and FIND guys to date instead of waiting for them to come to you?"
And I said: "no... you mean I actually have to leave the house?!"
Lance: "It usually works better that way, no?"
Lorraine: "I can't have them show up on my doorstep giftwrapped?"

Sigh.

I have this one lock of hair that has a brown/blonde tint to it.  Weird.  Not sure how that happened.  It's not like I purposely highlighted or streaked that one lock of hair.   Can you see it in this pic?

Well Tuesday was a LOT of fun.  Dave Lau and I drove out to have lunch with DKSF.  Hmm, 2-3 hour lunch?  We went to Le Cheval over in Oakland. Yummy!  

Afterwards, Dave Lau and I headed over to Fry's and we bought the coolest toy!!  It's the Microsoft Sidewinder Gamevoice.

It's a headset with a controller that allows you to talk over the Net to your buddies as you play on your PC.  Now you can get the Gamevoice software free online from www.gamevoice.com and use it with any old headset. But we bought the whole hardware kit that comes with the full version of Gamevoice.  It's so awesome.  We tested this out briefly last nite while playing Diablo.  I also tested it with Larry Wong on Tuesday nite. Not bad but I think we need to upgrade his mic :)

I highly recommend Gamevoice for anyone that plays computer games online.  I hear there are other programs out there that people have been using but this is the first one that I've tried.  Someone once sent me email about it but when I tried looking up some info, I didn't find anything and didn't research it very much.   I can't wait to try out all the other features of the controller and hardware!

Wednesday we had a Marketing department outing.  It was a surprise and we found out when we arrived that we'd be bowling!  It actually turned out to be a lot of fun.  The beer helped of course.   That was pretty much the whole afternoon.

My team had the overall highest bowling score and our prize was this Glowing Eyeball Flashlight thingie.

Check out the mini torch I bought.  Pretty neat.  It's so dark in our office that's it's hard to get a good picture though. It's not just a lighter, it's a mini torch.

I'm steadily gaining weight and not very happy about it. Ugh.  I probably shouldn't be wearing white today.

I got to see Dave Lau and DKSF this weekend!  Dave Lau came all the way from Hawaii for a visit so we hung out briefly Fri and Sat nite.  We also had dim sum on Saturday before he went off to the Giants game.  

I'm taking the day off tomorrow to go run around the Bay Area with Dave L.  Maybe make a Fry's run, then head out to visit DKSF.

It was a really busy weekend for me.  I did get a chance to run a few errands on Saturday.  Got my hair cut (can you tell?) and got my eyebrows done by the Eyebrow Nazi.  Aiya!  I couldn't believe it.  First, she was ok and asked if it hurt or was in any way uncomfortable that I should let her know.  She put some wax on the lower part of my brow, not too bad.   Then she started tweezing, not too bad... Then my cell phone rang and she said, "Can you please turn it off for me?" and I thought she meant for me to turn it off after I answered it so it wouldn't disturb her or the other clients at the salon.  Then just as I went to answer it, she again said, "Can you turn it off please?"  And I realized she wanted me to just turn it off and not answer it.  Yikes.  And that's when she turned into the Eyebrow Nazi.  She started tweezing and plucking and I swear she took some of my skin with her.  I kept wincing and flinching, thinking she'd be done any second now.  But she kept going!  Damn, she was getting downright medieval on me. I thought she was going to bust out some torture tools and go to town on me.  Phew, I got out with some glowingly sore eyebrows and little teeny red spot below my left brow.  It's dried blood I think!  Ouch!!
